Demo is done. Cabinets are in. This is the part of a kitchen remodel where things really start to click - where the layout stops being a drawing on paper and becomes something you can actually walk around in.

We just wrapped cabinet installation on this kitchen, and the layout is coming together exactly the way it should. There's a large center island, a full run of base cabinets along the wall, upper cabinets with detailed crown molding, open shelving, and even a dedicated built-in microwave niche. That's a lot of moving pieces to coordinate, and getting everything level, plumb, and properly spaced before the countertops go down is critical. Rushing this step is how you end up with problems later.

Next up is countertops. Once those are set, we move into the finishing work - stain and varnish on the wood cabinets. That final finish is what ties everything together and gives the kitchen its personality. The raw wood you're seeing right now will look completely different once it's been stained and sealed.

Kitchen remodeling done right is a process. It's not a one-week job. Each phase has to be completed correctly before the next one starts, and that's exactly how we approach every project. No cutting corners to hit a faster timeline.

If you've been thinking about redoing your kitchen, this is what the middle of the process looks like. It gets a little messy before it gets beautiful - and we're perfectly comfortable in that middle stage.
